Internet Setup Instructions:

Internet Setup for Windows Vista

1. Click on start button
2. Choose: Connect To
3. Choose Setup Connection or Network
4. Select Connect to Internet
5. Choose Dialup
6. Enter Local Telephone # to dial: Email info@jmz.net for your local #
7. Enter Username:
8. Enter Password:
9. Remember all usernames and password are lower case and no spaces
10. Be sure to check the box if you want your username and password to be remembered.
11. Connection Name is JMZ
12. Check the box that says “Allow others to use connection”
13. User account will pop up – Click Continue
14. Click Connect

Internet Setup           (Windows XP)                                    jmz.net

Left click your start button, go to All Programs, next go to Accessories, then Communications.  Click New Connection Wizard.  The wizard will pop up an introductory window, you can just click next.

In this next window, the first option, Connect to the Internet, is the one you want, you can click next.  Select the second option “Set up my connection manually”, then hit next.  Select the first option “Connect using a dial-up modem”, then next.  For the ISP name you can simply type in JMZ, then click next.  The phone number box is where you enter the phone number we provided you for your specific area, then next.  This window should have a checkbox saying “Add a shortcut for this connection to my desktop”, this is a matter of preference, then go ahead and click finish.

Open Outlook Express, if a wizard doesn’t pop up, click on the Tools Menu and then Accounts.  Click on the Mail tab and remove any existing accounts.  Click on Add, and then mail.

A wizard will pop up asking for a display name, you can put whatever you like there, typically your first and last name.  Click next, enter your e-mail address (username@jmz.net) under I Already Have an E-mail Address I’d like to use.  Click next, for both incoming and Outgoing mail servers, enter “mail.jmz.net” (without quotes) and click next.  Type in your user name & password all lowercase and click next.  Click finish to complete the setup wizard.

You can click close to get rid of the Internet accounts window and close Outlook Express. Double click on Internet Explorer or Outlook Express and you’re on your way.
