What sets us apart from other Web Hosting Companies? We run a secure performance oriented web server with a very high bandwidth allowance. Our servers are secured. We spend a lot of time applying all the patches and security updates. Our servers are also maintained and load balanced,  so site response is always crisp. We are very reserved about how many sites go on a server and very careful to make sure the server has excellent uptime and response time. Most of our servers have a yearly downtime total of about 7 minutes. (that's an uptime of 99.99998% for you statistical types). A few servers have had more downtime when hardware has failed, but since 1998, we have not had a server down for a full day.

We offer 2 kinds of websites, FrontPage based or FTP based. The main difference is the form of access to author the site. The first type of site is the FTP web site,  where uploading your pages is done via FTP. The second type of site is where uploading of your pages is done via Microsoft FrontPage. No sites allow both types of access because of the security issues it would cause.

We base website cost on the overall size of the site on disk. The reason for this is that a large part of the cost of web hosting is the cost of backing up the systems. The more there is to backup the greater the cost.

Each website includes:

CGI's and capabilities specified above, plus 5 email boxes. Additional email boxes and services are available.

In addition, we also support Shopsite server extensions which add $10/month to the website cost. The Shopsite extensions include a preformed store which can be easily customized to contain your items, pricing, pictures, and has a built in shopping cart. It's a good way to start a web store.

TRAFFIC: Each website is allowed 500x site size per month in Megabytes of traffic. So for example, if you are being billed for a 50MB web site then you are allowed 35 Gig per month in traffic. This is roughly 5x as much as most ISP's allow and very few sites will even come close to that kind of traffic levels.

SETUP fees: Shopsite websites the setup fee is $100 (the Shopsite license must also be purchased from JMZ computer Works, Inc. as a Partner with Shopsite).

SSL and Secure Site Certificates: Setup fee is $50,  Basically a cert serves two functions. It guarantees to the client end that you are who you say you are (you are certified) and it allows an encrypted connection so that the client and server can communicate securely.

DATABASE: All our servers support Access databases, SQL server is available but unless you plan on having 20 people per minute running database queries it is a cost and complexity you don't need to be concerned with as Access mdb files with the new MSDE data engine are more than enough for all but the largest of websites. Don't be fooled by the checkbox SQL server stuff that others ISP's claim to provide, most are just providing MySQL which is the same thing as an Access database as far as loading capabilities go.
